The University of Southern California came to us with the idea of turning their 2013 Spirit Shirt into a branding mark. Specifically, they wanted a grid that upon closer inspection would be the words “Go Trojans, 2013-2014, Fight On.”
We experimented with different 8-bit and mosaic inspired fonts, but found them to be too boxy. Ultimate, we had to create an original typeface and then modify it for the branding mark.
